I wouldn’t normally share this personal story but realized we do have a category called “Angels” so perhaps the timing is appropriate. And, by the way, if any of our beautiful readers and customers have angel stories to share, please do. It would be wondeful to hear about them and post them for others to be inspired by as well.
This past weekend I stopped into the Bowery Hotel in New York City for a glass of my favorite pink champagne to celebrate the release of a bunch of emotional baggage I had been carrying around for quite awhile. For me, there is nothing more festive than PINK champagne! Being 3 pm on a gorgeous sunny day, no one was in the lobby except for me, Booda (my Pekingese companion) and Michael, our server friend. The lobby is filled with a mish mash of antiques and has the vibe of an European country home.
Of course I chose the most regal kingly chair upon which to sit, enjoyed my pink champagne and a bit of bruschetta with fresh ricotta and pesto and then wrapped my visit up to go enjoy the sun in the park with Booda. We walked into the bathroom and walked back out past where we were sitting not even 1 minute prior and there was a man sitting in the same exact chair. Now the entire lobby was still completely empty yet this man chose to sit exactly where I had just been, which I thought odd by itself.
The first thing that popped into my mind was, “he looks like an angel!” He was blonde, light skinned and was staring at my movement the entire time. I was a bit tempted to stop and talk to him but the vibe didn’t really allow it. Michael wasn’t even around. The place was still dead empty. It was only after I passed I realized my dishes had been completely cleared away. There is no way that could have physically happened in that short time frame, and, had it, I would have seen Michael milling about somewhere close.
What I have since learned is that yes indeed it was an angel but that I decoded its presence a bit off. Angels have no gender so they are a blend of male/female. I chose to see a male but that is not really what was there. And now that I think back upon “him”, he was almost non-gender embodying soft and subtle female energies. He could even have been one of my own Guides or Guardians as well? That information has not yet come to me. What I do know is seeing “him” was an acknowledgement of all the hard work I had just undertaken. Clearing up those emotions, which had been holding me back from fully enjoying life, was a significant step in reclaiming my Personal Power.
As you read this, is there anything you can do, be it however small, to take a step to release anything from the past you may be holding onto that would allow you to step more fully into your own Personal Power?
If you are at a loss for how to do this, I would like to make one small suggestion. It’s as simple as asking yourself what would bring you Joy in this specific moment? Ask yourself that and proceed with the answer. It could be getting up out of your chair for a stretch, it could be picking up the phone to talk to someone, it could be smoking a cigarette – it doesn’t matter – whatever. The more you ask yourself this, the more you step into your Personal Power.
