For Newtown, CT: In Our Hearts And Forever In Our Prayers

Tuesday, December 18th, 2012

Our hearts and prayers goes out to Newtown, CT  – 20 beautiful children, their teachers, principal, school staff members and to the families of these victims in this time of need.

We also pray for the First Responders who showed extraordinary courage in the wake of such an unimaginable tragedy.

And we thank the teachers and school administrators who told the children to “find a buddy and hold hands” and then guided them to safety.

We cannot even begin to imagine the hurt and grief that is being felt by all in Newtown.  During this Holiday Season we keep the entire town of Newtown close to our hearts and forever in our prayers.

Healing a Broken Heart

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

I cried myself to sleep for my afternoon nap today.

I live in this world yet am not of this world.  It doesn’t matter who or what I am precisely.  I’m living here now experiencing all the Earth has to offer just like each and every one of you.

I came here from a place where Truth, Beauty and Love are the tenets of living.

Quite a contrast to what most experience here on Earth, right?

It saddens me deeply to see people choose lives of fear, mistrust and less-than-ness.  It simply doesn’t need to be that way.  Why can’t people see that?

In all facets of what I do here, I see people being presented with choices for their Highest Good and yet they choose the opposite.  Most tend to live in the past and in fear of all the bad that could happen.  Sadly, that is exactly what the controllers of this planet would want you to believe.  So, by living that way, you are playing into their agenda.

Why can’t people listen to that small kernel of truth in their hearts instead beckoning them to follow a different path, to try something new, to make a change?  Didn’t Jesus say something about faith the size of a mustard seed moving mountains?  Sure, newness & the unkown is often the scarier road but isn’t that better choice than falling back on the the knowns of sadness, less-than-ness and misery most people accept in their lives?

Sure, I get glimpses of positivity and ever so small changes here and there.  But, overall, it deeply saddens my how the collective simply doesn’t get it.  Love is all there is in this world and to make choices based on anything else is pure nonsense.  Yes, we all have free will and can do as we please, but for me coming here and knowing the truth, it makes me very sad to see choices made based on false tenets and beliefs.

Fortuitously, a dear friend of mine, Linda Dillon of the Council of Love, did a wonderful Healing a Broken Heart channeling session today and shared it for free with us.  It was perfect timing for how I have been feeling.  It is filled with love & light & truth & wisdom.  Watch and enjoy…(fyi…the first seven minutes have an echo which will go away.  And, don’t be concerned about any names mentioned which may not resonate with you.  Simply tap into the beauty and goodness being shared.)

In truth, beauty & love…Enjoy!

The State of Universal Well-Being, in which you live, is a state where effort and trying are replaced with relaxing and allowing…. a state where worthiness is not earned, but simply accepted.

Angel at Bowery Hotel in NYC

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

I wouldn’t normally share this personal story but realized we do have a category called “Angels” so perhaps the timing is appropriate. And, by the way, if any of our beautiful readers and customers have angel stories to share, please do. It would be wondeful to hear about them and post them for others to be inspired by as well.

This past weekend I stopped into the Bowery Hotel in New York City for a glass of my favorite pink champagne to celebrate the release of a bunch of emotional baggage I had been carrying around for quite awhile. For me, there is nothing more festive than PINK champagne! Being 3 pm on a gorgeous sunny day, no one was in the lobby except for me, Booda (my Pekingese companion) and Michael, our server friend. The lobby is filled with a mish mash of antiques and has the vibe of an European country home.6
Of course I chose the most regal kingly chair upon which to sit, enjoyed my pink champagne and a bit of bruschetta with fresh ricotta and pesto and then wrapped my visit up to go enjoy the sun in the park with Booda. We walked into the bathroom and walked back out past where we were sitting not even 1 minute prior and there was a man sitting in the same exact chair. Now the entire lobby was still completely empty yet this man chose to sit exactly where I had just been, which I thought odd by itself.

The first thing that popped into my mind was, “he looks like an angel!” He was blonde, light skinned and was staring at my movement the entire time. I was a bit tempted to stop and talk to him but the vibe didn’t really allow it. Michael wasn’t even around. The place was still dead empty. It was only after I passed I realized my dishes had been completely cleared away. There is no way that could have physically happened in that short time frame, and, had it, I would have seen Michael milling about somewhere close.

What I have since learned is that yes indeed it was an angel but that I decoded its presence a bit off. Angels have no gender so they are a blend of male/female. I chose to see a male but that is not really what was there. And now that I think back upon “him”, he was almost non-gender embodying soft and subtle female energies. He could even have been one of my own Guides or Guardians as well? That information has not yet come to me. What I do know is seeing “him” was an acknowledgement of all the hard work I had just undertaken. Clearing up those emotions, which had been holding me back from fully enjoying life, was a significant step in reclaiming my Personal Power.

As you read this, is there anything you can do, be it however small, to take a step to release anything from the past you may be holding onto that would allow you to step more fully into your own Personal Power?

If you are at a loss for how to do this, I would like to make one small suggestion. It’s as simple as asking yourself what would bring you Joy in this specific moment? Ask yourself that and proceed with the answer. It could be getting up out of your chair for a stretch, it could be picking up the phone to talk to someone, it could be smoking a cigarette – it doesn’t matter – whatever. The more you ask yourself this, the more you step into your Personal Power.

Monday Morning Angel Message

Monday, March 8th, 2010

This is a beautiful and timely message given the peeking through of Sping here in the East…

Yesterday we had a nice little treat.  It was the first day in months we could get anywhere near the pool.  We decided to dine al fresco alongside the covered up pool.  It’s been a year now since our beloved Calico Phantom decided to transition and we been dreaming of kitties for awhile now.  Well, upon getting settled at the pool we noticed an unusual lump out of the corner our our eye and lo and behold it was a cat curled up in a ball enjoying the sun!  Of course, we ran inside and got some kitty treats and water.  Hopefully we can lure that cat closer and closer to the house.

Enjoy the message below and have a wonderful week!

“Take pleasure every day in the sights and sounds of Mother Nature; sunrise and sunset, songbirds, wind and water. They will constantly remind you of the never ending blessings from God. “

Blessings,
Your Angels

Have a wonderful week!

Heart warming story & gorgeous photos!

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

This is from an article in the Daily Mail  on December 31, 2008, and it is simply gorgeous!!!

In 2003, police in Warwickshire, England, opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, covering dog.  It had been locked in the shed and abandoned.  It was dirty and malnourished and had clearly been abused.

In an act of kindness, the police too the dog, which was a Greyhound female to the nearby Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, run by a man named Geoff Grewcock and known as a willing haven for animals abandoned, orphaned or otherwise in need.

Geoff and the other sanctuary staff went to work with two aims: to restore the dog to full health and to win her trust.  It took several weeks but eventually both goals were achieved.

They named her Jasmine and the started to think about finding her an adoptive home.  But Jasmine had other ideas.  No-one remembers now how it began but she started welcoming all animal arrivals at the sanctuary.  It wouldn’t matter if it was a puppy, a fox cub, a rabbit, or any other lost or hurting animal.  Jasmine would peer into the box or cage and, where possible, deliver a welcoming lick.  Geoff relates one of the early incidents.  “We had two puppies that had been abandoned by a nearby railway line.  One was a Lakeland Terrier cross and another a Jack Russell Doberman cross.  They were tiny when they arrived at the Centre and Jasmine approached them and grabbed one by the scruff of the next in her mouth and put him on the settee.  Then she fetched the other one and sat down with them, cuddling them.”

“But she is like that with all of our animals, even the rabbits.  She takes all the stress out of them and it helps them to not only feel close to her but to settle into their new surroundings.  She has done the same with fox and badger cubs, she licks the rabbits and

guinea pigs and even lets birds perch on the bridge of her nose.”

Jasmine, the timid and abused, deserted waif, became the animal sanctuary’s resident surrogate mother, a role for which she might not have been born.  The list of orphaned and abandoned youngsters she has cared for comprises five fox cubs, four badger cubs, 15 chicks, eight guinea pigs, 2 stray puppies and 15 rabbits…

And one roe deer fawn.  Tiny Bramble, 11 weeks old, was found semi-conscious in a field.  Upon arrival at the sanctuary, Jasmine cuddled up to her to keep her warm, and then went into full foster mum role.  Jasmine the greyhound showers Bramble the Roe

Deer with affection and makes sure nothing is matted.

jasmine03

“They are inseparable,” says Geoff.  “Bramble walks between her legs and they keep kissing each other.  They walk together round the sanctuary.  It’s a real treat to see them.”

jasmine04

Jasmine will continue to care for Bramble until she is old enough to be returned to woodland life.  When that happens, Jasmine will not be lonely.  She will be too busy showering love and affection on the next Orphan or victim of abuse.

We here at Cool Cribs LOVE this story so very much!  It is inspiring, heart warming and simply beautiful!  Our organization donates a percentage of our profits to local centers just like the one in the story above because we believe everyone should have a home and a safe cool crib!

Hope is sometimes all you can manage

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

I oftentimes feel that.  Daily life sometimes is so burdensome and draining and overwhelming that all one can do is maintain a glimmer of hope for better things to come.  Therefore, I was more than happy to receive yesterday’s angel message from Trudy Griswold.  I want to personally thank her for adding light to this world.

“Hope is the expectation and spark of goodness that is always there for you. This ember burns constantly within each of you and this light will never dim or go out.”
