Here is an example of the weekly feedback we get from the Bioenergetic weight loss program, Be Thin Within. I’ve tried so many different diets and weight loss systems and this is the one currently working the best for me. Of course, I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t learn portion control from Weight Watchers. But, this was the next step for me on my personal journey which resonates with me. And, I really appreciate Cathy’s weekly feedback which is always insightful and helpful – read on below:
Have heard from a number of you this week, and thanks for the feedback! The over-all result of the distance stress-management work is that people are slowly releasing weight. Is it 100%? No. Has any approach ever been 100% for weight loss? No, of course not.
There are just too many reasons that a person becomes overweight. It could be physical, for example a hormone imbalance that so many of us develop during menopause. It could be emotional, the result of a fear of intimacy or anger that we can’t express. Or, more likely, it is a combination of many forms of stress.
That may be why conventional diets seldom work. Not only do people gain back whatever they’ve lost once they resume normal eating, but they also tend to end up with even more fat, as dieting takes energy from the muscles. The more fat, the slower the metabolism. It becomes a never-ending cycle.
The key may be small, subtle, changes, over a period of time. That’s what our program does.
Remember the old saying “a watched pot never boils”. Try to stop weighing, and by all means don’t focus on your size and shape. For example, stop saying you’re fat! We are creators, and what we see in our physical universe is directly influenced by our thoughts and statements.
All of us in this group know this already, but watch your words- we still make statements like “I’m so fat” or “I’m so broke’…and as a result prevent the changes we consciously desire.And don’t think you can say, instead, “I’m NOT fat” or anything along that line, because our subconscious doesn’t recognize the words no, not, never, etc. In other words, if you say “I’m NEVER going to be fat”- watch out, you just told your subconscious that you’re going to be fat!
Start consciously observing your most common statements. You might be shocked.
Here’s what our analysis said this week:
First, we are showing stress from dietary deficiency. No question about it, many overeat because their body is craving nutrients. We particularly are showing stress from a need for vitamin C.
You know by now that I’m not a big fan of running to the health food store and stocking up on vitamins and minerals. That’s because so many of them are synthetic. The body doesn’t know what to do with them. As a comparison, when you’re preparing a recipe and it calls for 1/4 t. of salt, you don’t say “well, if a little salt is good I will just put in the whole box”. You know that would destroy the recipe. And yet we may destroy the terrain of our bodies, when we load them up with various vitamins and minerals just because we read somewhere they they could be beneficial.

We showed stress from trauma, parasites, and “karma”.
Our most stressed emotions were perfectionistic, pride, and resistance to change. We also indicated stress from low grade depression and from being sad and fearful.
In reference to depression, we indicated stress from ” denial of depression”. What that means is that the depression is acted out in other ways. Being a workaholic for example, or eating or shopping too much could be a mask for low-grade depression.
Most stressed organ was the thyroid.
Inflammation is still a top stressor.
We indicated stress from fear of aging, inability to concentrate, abuse of authority, and self-deception. We also wanted friendship, bonding, and relaxation.
We asked for a flower essence called “greater love”. And remember, if we had to narrow down what we’re working on to one thing, it would be self love.
Our messages- ” Times cures all wounds” and ” Delusion of self has blocked the cure”
Affirmation- and we got this one several times- “I love and respet the planet and the environment. I will sow love and respect to the environment.”
And what’s aging us? The desire for things to be different.
